Hardware Protection Plan Guide

The Hardware Protection Plan costs $5.00/month.

The plan covers repair or replacement of the Skyrunner Internet antenna, cable and/or power adapter should damage occur, no matter how that damage occurred. Common causes of damage include water in the cable, damage to the cable due to wild or domestic animals or human error, damage to the antenna due to insect infestation, electrical surge and lightning strike.

If you choose not to sign up for the plan

Skyrunner Internet customers who do not sign up for the plan will be charged for repair or replacement should damage occur to the Skyrunner Internet antenna, cable or power adapter*. The minimum charge is $75.00/hour.

*EXCEPTIONS: Customers who do not sign up for the plan will not be charged for the repair or replacement ONLY if the antenna, cable and/or power adapter fails due to mechanical failure of no known cause OR Skyrunner caused the damage (ex. water seeps into cable because technician accidentally put a staple through it, etc.).

Other things not covered by the plan

Service Calls

If your Skyrunner Internet service is working and the antenna, cable or power adapter does not need to be repaired or replaced, a service call requested by you is not covered by the plan. For example, if you would like the antenna to be relocated, the cable to be re-run to a different location, or if you are experiencing a problem with your wireless router, computer, or other internal network components. The minimum cost is $75.00/hour.

Purchased Hardware

Hardware purchased from Skyrunner Internet, such as wireless routers and switches, are not covered by the plan. They have a warranty as follows:

– New Hardware: 90 day warranty on hardware failure.
– Used Hardware: 30 day warranty on hardware failure.
