1. Start Apple Mail.
  2. If you are starting Apple Mail for the first time skip to step 5!
  3. From the Mail menu, select Preferences…
  4. From the Accounts tab, select “+” under Accounts.
  5. Within the Add Account dialog, enter your complete name, email address and email password. If you do not have these, contact us!
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Within the Incoming Mail Server dialog, enter the details below:
    • Account Type: Use POP for a desktop computer, and IMAP for mobile devices such as notebooks and cellphones.
    • Description: Use your email address or a descriptive name that identifies this account.
    • Incoming Mail Server: Enter your incoming mail server, for example: mail.skyrunner.net. This depends on your email provider.
    • User Name: This is usually your complete email address, although some providers use just the username before the “@” symbol.
    • Password: Enter your email password that was provided.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Within the Outgoing Mail Server dialog, enter the details below:
    • Descripton: Use your Internet Service Providers name, for example Skyrunner.
    • Outgoing Mail Server: User your Internet Service Provider’s outgoing mail server address, for example mail.skyrunner.net. This depends on your service provider.
    • Use only this server: Checked. Unchecked if you require multiple outbound servers.
    • Use Authentication: Enter your full email address and email password only if you require encryption, for example: When using public networks or open wireless connections.
  10. Click Continue.
  11. Confirm the details of the Account Summary dialog.
  12. Click Create.
  13. DONE!

You should now be able to send and receive email using Apple Mail!
